Is the Flybaby safe for my baby?
Yes. The Flybaby was designed with safety in mind and has been tested to meet the highest EU and U.S. standards. For safe use, always follow the safety instructions in the user manual.
Does the Flybaby promote healthy hip development?
Yes. The squat-spread position supported by the Flybaby is recommended by midwives and physical therapists to promote healthy hip development. In addition, the Flybaby is certified as hip-healthy by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute.
How is the price of the Flybaby infant carrier determined?
The price reflects what it has to offer: high-quality materials, meticulous craftsmanship, certified safety, and a design built for everyday use—and built to last. Made with innovative 3D knitting technology, from OEKO-TEX®-certified recycled polyester, tested to European and international safety standards, recommended by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute, designed for multiple children, and winner of the German Design Award.
Can both parents use the carrier?
Yes. Both the shoulder straps and the waist belt (66–127 cm) are fully adjustable—so both parents, grandparents, or caregivers can wear it without having to readjust it every time.
At what age and weight can we start using the carrier?
The Flybaby is suitable from birth up to approximately 15 kg. The adjustable support bar ensures that your baby always sits in the hip-friendly M. Depending on your child’s body proportions, the M is guaranteed up to size 86 (approx. 12–18 months). For premature babies, we recommend seeking a babywearing consultation beforehand.
Do I need to practice putting?
Flybaby was deliberately designed for intuitive use—with just a few thoughtfully placed adjustment options and magnetic safety clasps that can be fastened with one hand. It may take a little getting used to at first until you find the perfect fit. You can find step-by-step instructions on our How-to page.
